| Michael W. Bugni |
Michael began clerking for the firm in 1981 and has practiced exclusively in family law at the same Northgate office since graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 1983. He serves as a mediator in family law matters on both a professional and volunteer basis, and in a variety of legal venues. Mr. Bugni is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He served as a King County Family Law Commissioner pro tem from 1998 through 2007.
| Laura Christensen Colberg |
Laura, a 1996 graduate from the University of Washington School of Law, has been with the firm since 1997, handling family law cases and stepparent adoptions. Ms. Colberg volunteers on the King County status conference calendar, is a member of the Family Law section of the King County Bar Association and is involved in Professional Women's Fellowship. Laura serves as a Family Law Commissioner pro tem for Snohomish County Superior Court. She is an alumna of Seattle Pacific University.
| Nathan Cliber |
Nathan received his undergraduate degree in theatre from Western Washington University, and graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. He entered law school with the specific goal of working in family law, and now practices almost exclusively in that area. Much of his work involves high-conflict situations and domestic violence. He believes that communication and honesty are the cornerstones of any successful relationship, professional or personal, and strives to apply those principles to all of his work.
| Margaret Doyle Fitzpatrick |
Margaret has been in practice since 1978. Her extensive experience includes specialization in family law representation and in divorce and family mediation. Ms. Fitzpatrick served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Criminal Division, for King County and as the Assistant Staff Director for the Department of Professional Standards of The American Bar Association in Chicago. Ms. Fitzpatrick is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School and Indiana University.
| Jennie Laird |
Jennie graduated cum laude from Seattle University Law School in 1996, where she is currently an adjunct professor. Her practice focuses on representing survivors of domestic violence and on the rights of nontraditional families. In 2003 she received the WSBA Neville Pro Bono award and was the 2005-06 Chair of the King County Bar Family Law Section. Jennie volunteers for the NW Women's Law Center and has presented at regional and national training seminars on family law, domestic violence and trial litigation. She serves as a pro tem Family Law Commissioner for King County Superior Court.
| Kristyna M. Larch |
Kristy is a collaborative practitioner and a member of King County Collaborative Law, the Cascadia Practice Group, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP). Kristy’s practice is currently comprised of approximately 60% collaborative or cooperative cases and approximately 40% litigation focused cases. Kristy has worked with victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and has been a child advocate (GAL) in the dependency system. Prior to law school, Kristy worked for the King County Family Law Commissioners. She has carried this perspective into her practice.

Christine is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law and practices exclusively in family law. She is a Neighborhood Legal Clinic volunteer. Christine is a child advocate, who holds strongly to the importance of civility throughout the settlement process. Jay is a native of Snohomish County. He graduated from the University of Washington, School of Law in 1983. Jay has practiced law in a variety of areas, including family law, estate planning, criminal defense and criminal prosecution. He has served as a pro tem Judge and Family Law Commissioner in Snohomish County. For the last decade, he has focused almost exclusively on family law.
| LuAnne A. Perry |
LuAnne graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1990. She served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Eugene Wright of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She started her practice as a prosecutor for the City of Seattle and was later named the Director of the federally funded Repeat Offender Program. LuAnne has extensive courtroom experience in both commercial litigation and family law. She has served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee as well as the Board of Director’s for Washington Women Lawyers. Her practice focuses on litigation involving complex family law issues, commercial disputes and employment matters.

Bita received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and her law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. She has over 6 years of experience in the area of family law. Bita is fluent in Farsi and Turkish, and also volunteers at the Northwest Women's Law Center Self Help Program.
| Karma L. Zaike |
Karma joined the firm in 1991 as a paralegal. In 2001 she graduated from the New England School of Law in Boston where she received the New England Scholar award and was the Executive Managing Literary Editor of the The New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. She has 18 years of experience in the field of family law. She also volunteers with CASA of King County and various neighborhood legal clinics.
